About Dr. Anahita

Dr. Anahita Forati is a specialist in Integrative Oncology and Pain Management.  The primary focus of her work is to combine Chinese medicine with the Western cancer treatments that her patients already receive, so they are able to complete their course of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, reduce their cancer pain, improve their immune system, and continue the fight to keep the cancer in remission after treatment, while working to enhance their quality of life.  Patients will have the benefit of her experience before, during and after cancer treatment, to assist and advocate for them on this difficult yet powerful journey towards healing

Dr. Anahita attended UC Davis and got her Bachelor of Science degree in Botany as a pre-med and went on to earn a Masters Degree at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, CA where she also became a Certified Massage Therapist in Tui-Na Acupressure massage.

In 2006, Anahita entered the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program focused on integrative oncology and pain management at Bastyr University in Washington State, the only accredited program in the country that offered this specialization.   In China  she completed clinical training in Integrative oncology at the Teaching Hospital of Sichuan Chinese Medicine Institute, in Chengdu, and Shu Guang Hospital, in Shanghai.

Anahita has always felt strongly that traditional medicine is a right and the knowledge and experience of thousands of years of clinical experience must be preserved, taught, and also brought into the modern day.

In her spare time, when she has some, she likes to play music with friends with good food and better conversation.
